SAME aims to create high-quality aircraft maintenance engineers through its professionally trained and internationally experienced faculty, using modern teaching methods backed by the state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure, thus meeting a long-standing need of the fast-growing aviation industry.
The aircraft hangar, spread over 6000 sq. ft., which accommodates its Hawker HS 125-700 aircraft, is designed and constructed to the standard of an actual aircraft hangar and provisioned with all related facilities and ground equipment such as a ground electrical power unit, nitrogen charging facility, refuelling facility, hydraulic servicing trolley, aircraft lifting jacks, trestles, engine support stand and safety equipment, so as to impart the highest level of practical training and skills.
SAME also has twelve well equipped and spacious workshops for imparting practical training to students. Each workshop is built to the world standards, properly lighted, well ventilated, furnished, noise-free, and with a centralised fire extinguishing system.
The various workshops include - Basic Mechanical and Sheet Metal Shop, Basic Electrical, Electrical system & Avionics Shop, Jet Engine and Piston Engine Shop, Aircraft System Shop, Propeller Shop, Instruments Shop, Radio Navigation Shop, NDT Shop, Wheels and Tyres Shop, Machine Shop, Battery Shop and Welding Shop.
