Empowering Women & Youth
for a Better Tomorrow
To navigate a challenging world, people need access to knowledge and resources that enable their progress. Since 2015, InterGlobe Foundation (IGF) has been supporting endeavours that improve livelihood opportunities among marginalized communities with a special focus on women and youth. Our approach includes both, strengthening traditional occupations like agriculture or tailoring as well as introducing new occupations through programmes that are delivered in partnership with various organisations. Beyond providing resource enhancement, training and skill development, our holistic approach also ensures last mile delivery through support that includes access to credit, land investment and working on the overall ecosystem of the enterprise.
Over time, we have engaged more than 4,000 women and 700 young workers in several programmes that help enhance their confidence, employability and self-reliance. Our focus lies on strengthening people’s capabilities and breaking the cycle of poverty and unemployment through an integrated approach that is geared to help them sustain better livelihoods.
By fostering greater economic opportunities, we are actively working towards a future where communities around us, irrespective of their social or economic background, possess the skills, knowledge and capabilities to break barriers and achieve more.

I am very thankful to the GramJyothi project for giving me an opportunity to learn and engage in income enhancement activities. I make Rs. 10,000-12,000 per month by preparing khova at home and selling it in the local market. This additional income is helping me look after my family well.

Under the Pragati project, women are being trained in leaf cutlery production made out of Arecanut sheaths. I have become famous in the community as an Arecanut sheath trader.

I always wanted to share the economic responsibility of the household but the lack of proper communication skills came in the way of getting a well-paying job. The Saksham Project not only helped me find a good job, but also boosted my self-confidence.

Women in my neighbourhood motivated me to join the livelihood program facilitated by the GramJyothi project. It helped me avail a soft loan and soon I was able to set up a Saree and Bangles shop in the village. The additional income has been helpful in continuing the education of my children.
