No Open Waste (NOW) project in Gurugram educates 4,00,000 people on waste segregation and composting
InterGlobe Foundation (IGF) and Feedback Foundation ran a No Open Waste (NOW) project in 7 wards of Gurugram from September 2015 to March 2018. During these two and a half years, almost 400,000 people were made aware of waste segregation methods and its benefits and were encouraged to take up composting of wet waste.
The project was in collaboration with Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) and included RWAs, waste pickers, shop keepers’ association, hawkers’ association, hotels’ association, and students to ensure all levels of involvement.
